Crank some Cyberpunkers

Every now and again, I like to write a little something about someone. Not because they’ve done something recently (although these guys have) or because they’ve been sentenced to some kind of comnmunity service (like half the hip hop artists on the planet)… but because I’ve discovered them, and because I fucking like them. Is it wrong?

I’d heard the name floating around, but never seen them, nor had I heard much. To be honest, I feel like I’ve spent so much time focusing on getting the mewbox applicaton right, that I’ve lost touch a little bit. I’m trying to make up for it.

These guys were not on my radar. That was until The Toxic Avenger was nice enough to fire me over a copy of his New EP ‘Toxic is Dead’. One of the tracks, which happened to be my favourite from the EP, can be attributed to these two. The remix was bloody brilliant, it held everything in it that the original artist inteded it to be, which I feel is important…. but it added so much more. So, my curious self looked them up on myspace

I must say, I found a nice surprise. The duo, originally from Italy, Massi Arena and Fabio Liuzzi founded themselves a while back. I know, I’ve clearly missed the boat on these two, but hey, the electro world is hard to keep up with…

Anyway, great sound, dirty remixes, and as one of my valued informants tells me, they absolutly smashed it in Australia for their recent tour. In 2006 their track Egostereo – Sudoku remix was the most played at the Miami Music Conference (Kind of a big deal). They apparently had a brilliant tour through the greek islands shortly after that, which I was probably present for but without knowledge of what I was seeing.
