Kanye in the community…

There seems to be a trend in the making. A great deal of R’n'b/Hip Hop artists taking up community service as the next ‘cool’ thing. There’s been a string of them coming through lately, with the most recent being Chris Brown’s rather large sentence after he was found guilty of assaulting his (once) girlfriend, Rihanna.

Next on the block is Kanye. He (or should I say, his Lawyer) has agreed to take on 50 hours of community service, in return, the judge has agreed to throw out the original charges of battery and vandalism. The announcement came on Friday morning as Kanye’s lawyer struck a deal with the Los Angeles judge handling the case. Kanye had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges, had he been convicted he would have been slapped with some jail time.

Kanye was facing three misdemeanors after he took an aggressive turn at some cameras, smashing two of them up in the Los Angeles Airport. It’s not exactly ‘Gangsta’ is it now Kanye? But hey, we think you’ll look great in bright orange, it’ll bring out your eyes. A little anger management never hurt anyone.
