Kid Cudi prepares for Cudder

Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi is taking a measured approach in his rise to the top. In just over a year the Cleveland born hip hop artist has progressed from his debut mixtape A Kid Called Cudi to a commerically-succesful debut album, Man On The Moon: The End Of Day. His next release will capitalise on his new found popularity, netting a number of high profile artists for the collaboration album, Cudder.

Cudder is basically an album of me working with artists that have inspired me or artists that have helped me grow and people who I’ve always admired”. The list of confirmed acts is already impressive- “we’ve got Snoop, Travis Barker” but the potential is even more exciting as Kudi is “trying to get Green Day onboard, hopefully, Kings of Leon”.

His debut album was intended to feature a great deal more collaborations, but the title suffix (“The Guardians”) was removed as they fell through. “I’m really trying to do all the collabs that I couldn’t do for the album, and then some, because the album was so themed that I had to strip a lot of features. We’re going to have the Clipse on this compilation, Robin Thicke, hopefully we’re going to get in the studio, I just did a record for his upcoming album; it’s amazing.”

The best part of this news? The album is out soon; “summertime at the latest”. We’ll be waiting.\
