Music Go Music//’Light of Love’ Rmx

Music Go Music, the LA based three piece who have been in the news recently not only for the music but also their fans nefarious use of their music videos have released a remix of their track ‘Light of Love’ by Diskjokke. We have it below for you courtesy of Drum Roll Please. Thanks Ed, most appreciated.

Music Go Music have an obvious relationship with the 70’s and 80’s in their influence, Abbaesesq vocals meet abstractly punctuated drums and guitar, lead by a homage to 70’s pop melodies.

Though saying this, a nod to Rod Stewart in the tracks jaunty structure is notably apparent. Though under no circumstance take this as definition, in the short time I have been listening to MGM the diversity and range of influence is something that is reflected in their, for lack of a better term, volatility of their music. Their track ‘I Walk Alone’ for me is a true diamond in the rough, do have a listen over at their Myspace here, it’s all pretty mint in all honesty.

Melodramatic seventies funk and the haunting and haunting lyrics provided by the superbly named Gala Bell are ranged and contrasted with Door’s like harpsicord, Rocky Horror type ballads, elements of classic American rock and at times Acid Jazz.

An odd, but most alluring cup of tea.
