The truth of it is that it may be all about the music but life is actually about the experience. Being at the Royal Festival Hall listening to the London Philharmonic construct Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings, standing next to the artilleryman as the touch paper for a 12 pounder is ignited at Hadfield Hall during that part of the 1812 Overture, or wiping the sweat out of your eyes at Alexander Palace as the first strains of Insomnia reach you through the heaving mass and Faithless take you to new heights of euphoria.

That’s what it is all about and that is why you buy the music; to have your soul touched just a little bit every day

Now since taking the string section of the orchestra everywhere is a little bit problematic and the Met might have something to say if you walked through an underground turnstile with a 12 pounder Napoleon there has to be another way to refresh your spirit on that daily commute without sherpering your turntables everywhere you go.
