WAYF – February Mixtape

Hot of the decks is We Are Your Friend’s Ste-V-Something is back with their 7th mixtape installment. As always it’s filled bouncy re-edits, layered reverberating synths and plenty of bump. The boys behind We Are Your Friends have had quite some praise heaped on them of late, with Mixmag, naming We Are Your Friends one of it’s Top 10 Clubs of 2009. In the their own words..

‘We are proud as punch to be listed amongst some our best loved clubs including the likes of Fabric, Gatecrasher and FWD who also made the top 10’. Bravo chaps, keep up the good work in 2010.

The boys are now dropping club nights in the Nottingham, Oxford and the night’s native Bournemouth regularly, for more information check out their website here. WAYF strive for diversity and have created an arguable new breed of club night, born from the love of rock and rave, neon paint, Indie guitars, dirty electro bleeps, big basslines and dub-stepping.

They have been kind enough to pass on their latest mixtape for you, me and one and all. Booyah.  Hailing from simple beginnings at uni house parties WAYF now host events for 1,000s of party people across the UK every month. What with their recent nod I should suspect big things from this lot over the coming months, their Block Party events spanning six venues in the Lansdowne district of Bournemouth town and usully sees 2,500 party people descend on the streets for a 10 hour marathon of over 40 DJs, bands and performers.
